
The program, Diploma in Business Intelligence addresses requirements of analysis and enterprise reporting using BI technologies. This program also covers designing and modeling the necessary BI Infrastructure, the datawarehouse.
The two set of tools used together for BI decision supports are Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Data Mining. These tools integrate three of the most promising information management technologies: data warehousing, OLAP, and data mining.
This program begins with laying the fundamentals of BI, starting with the need for information systems in large organizations, the evolution of BI from various information systems. The course moves towards introduction of the concepts and current methodologies for using On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) technology and data warehouses. Then, the concepts, usage, and implementation of multidimensional modeling, multidimensional objects such as cubes & dimensions, multidimensional expressions, are covered.
