ANIIT PROGRAM
The ANIIT curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation followed by
technology specializations on J2EE and .NET development frameworks. The program
has been
co-designed with major IT recruiters and has been further revised based on the
feedback from students and the employers of the pilot offering.
To ensure a thorough grounding, the ANIIT curriculum includes four projects
across various technologies such as C++, VB.NET, J2SE, and J2EE. The curriculum
is distributed across 3 levels, with each level focusing on specific knowledge
and skill enhancements. However, no intermediate exits are possible.
As part of the ANIIT Program, students
will also undergo sessions on Industry Orientation as well as Placement
Preparation.
Level 1 (5 weeks)
This Level focuses on building a strong programming foundation. As part of this
level, students would acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas:
• Object Oriented Programming using C++
• Data Structures
• Designing and Implementing data bases using SQL Server 2000
At the end of this level students will
undertake a C++ based project followed by peer review through testing
techniques.
Level 2 (5 weeks)
This level focuses on building skills on client/server architecture. Students
will learn both J2SE and VB.NET technologies at this level.
• J2SE and VB.NET knowledge and skills on developing Java and Windows
applications, including database connectivity.
• Developing skills on testing with emphasis on unit level testing.
Towards the end of this level, students start their Special Project using J2SE
client-server project. Project includes designing of database and client module
based on
real-life case study
Level 3 (6 weeks)
This level focuses on building advanced programming skills to address the
enterprise business requirements. Students learn advanced Java technologies and
.NET technologies along with Systems Analysis and Design.
• J2EE technologies: Server side technologies like JSP, Servlet and Enterprise
Java
Beans.
• .NET technologies: Web application development using ASP.NET.
• XML and Web services: Knowledge and implementation skills of XML technologies
and web services.
• Object Oriented Analysis and Design: As part of this course, students learn
analyzing
and design a solution using OOAD.
• Terminal Project
A) VB.NET based client server project.
B) J2EE based 3-tier architecture.
